For High School Students

If you are interested in mathematics, you will find many talented students in applied mathematics in N.U.K. It is a lifetime opportunity for you and should not be missed. Please accept our warmest welcome to the department. In this section, we hope you will find valuable information for your references.

In addition, to attract high school graduates, N.U.K. has setup the following standards for awards and incentives.

(1) For those admitted by entrance exam scores:

  1. Students who meet the following criterion will be awarded NT$300,000.
    1. For those who admitted by N.U.K and N.U.K. was among their top three choices,
    2. The scores for two of required subjects (including non-curriculum courses) by assigned major are ranked in top 1 percent,
    3. The score for the third subject is within top 3 percents.
  2. For those admitted by N.U.K and the weighted score for required subjects ranked in the top 10 percentile will be awarded a one-time payment of NT$30,000.
  3. Students who meet the following criterion will be awarded NT$15,000.
    1. Qualified low-income students admitted by N.U.K and N.U.K was among top three choices.
    2. The weighted score for his/her chosen topic ranked in the upper 50 percentile.

(2) For those admitted through Recommendations and Screening process.

  1. For those who participated in academic skill examination in the participating academic year and scores for at least 3 subjects were graded 15, an amount of NT$ 300,000 will be awarded.
  2. For those who participated in academic skill examination in the participating academic year and scores for at least 3 subjects were graded 14, a one-time of NT$ 300,000 will be awarded during the first semester of study.
  3. For those who qualified as low-income and the scores for required subjects ranked in the upper 50 percentile, a one-time payment of NT $15,000 will be awarded.

(3) For those with bronze medal(s) or better from the Olympic games, a one-time payment of NT $100,000 will be awarded during the first semester of study.
